ABOUT THE CENTER FOR JEWISH IMPACT

The Center for Jewish Impact was established by its Chairman, Robert Singer, under the vision of becoming a focal point and center for excellence for innovative and impactful initiatives that deliver benefit to Israel and the Jewish world.

HOW TO JOIN

"1000 Chanukah Candles of Remembrance" is a global campaign initiated by Ambassador Dan Oryan, that calls people from all across the world to light the menorah during Chanukah, December 10-17, 2020, in dedication to the memory of North Macedonia Jewry, which was almost completely destroyed during the Holocaust. From a prosperous and joyful community of 8,000 members on the eve of World War II, only 2% survived. It is our mission to share their stories and to remember them, now, and always.

The central candle lighting on the eighth night will be led by the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski and the Chairman of the Jewish Agency, Isaac Herzog. The lighting will be broadcasted live on Zoom and Facebook.
